What We’re Bringing to the Table This Fall

October 20th, 2026 | By Kelsey Barth

Fall is a crowd favorite, and for good reason. It’s the time of year where transitions are happening all around you, a time to reflect on the summer months, an eagerness for the holiday season and time to spend with all your favorite people. Here at Greenhouse we’ve spent some time reflecting on what we’ve learned and looking ahead to what we still want to accomplish.

Here is what our small, but mighty team is bringing to the table, both professionally and personally, to round out a spectacular 2026.

What’s something you’ve learned this year that you’re bringing into Q4?
The impact of Google Business profiles. I am recommending more than ever before that you need a Google Business profile to compete with the everchanging Google algorithms. And it needs to be optimized!

What’s one piece of advice you’d bring to the table for a small-business owner before the end of the year?
The holidays can bring a lot of stress to your business. It can be hard to stay focused and motivated with so many competing priorities demanding your attention. Remind yourself why you love what you do when things get tough and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What’s one local spot you want to visit this season?
I want to visit a ski resort and try to ski or snowboard this year. I’ve never done it! And I say I’m going to every year. And when in doubt, a glass of wine by the fireplace at a ski lodge would be pretty nice.

What hobby or activity are you getting back this fall?
I’ve recently entered my sourdough bread era and so I’m going to be experimenting with fall recipes. I’ll be sure to share if they turn out.

What’s something you’ve learned this year that you’re bringing into Q4?
Lots of learning lately as I continue to learn the ins and outs of Kinetic Greenhouse. A large initiative I have taken on is learning  Monday.com and bringing efficiency and standardization to the platform.

What’s one piece of advice you’d bring to the table for a small-business owner before the end of the year?
When things feel overwhelming and you have 100 priorities, focus on the quick wins to gain momentum, and then delegate what you can’t do yourself!

What’s one local spot you want to visit this season?
I want to get to both the state parks nearby – Lake Elmo and Pictograph Cave. I’m eager to see the fall colors in Montana!

What hobby or activity are you getting back this fall?
I really want to get back into painting with watercolor especially as we get into long hikes and I can sit and paint the scenery.

What’s something you’ve learned this year that you’re bringing into Q4?
Me and my family have experienced a lot of change over the recent months (we got a puppy, and my son started kindergarten) and one lesson I’d like to carry forward into the fall is that being present with them is the most important and rewarding thing I can do.

What’s one piece of advice you’d bring to the table for a small-business owner before the end of the year?
Fall is a time of connection and community for many people, and the more you can facilitate that connection and bring people together, the more people see you and your business as a valuable member of the community. Go beyond the ‘black friday’ sales and fall promos, and offer something to the community that enriches their lives without asking for anything in return. That community loyalty and respect you garner will pay off in ways you won’t expect.

What’s one local spot you want to visit this season?
I’m a big fan of the corn maze! I have so many memories with friends and family going there every year, and for me it’s when fall feels ‘official’!

What hobby or activity are you getting back this fall?
Astrophotography! I’ve been taking a bit of a break throughout the summer to focus on other hobbies and interests, and I’m hoping to jump back in with both feet into capturing some of my favorite fall and winter targets!

What’s something you’ve learned this year that you’re bringing into Q4?
Contextualizing data is key to get the most out of your CRM. I’ve also learned a ton on Agentic Marketing and AI search.

What’s one piece of advice you’d bring to the table for a small-business owner before the end of the year?
Get yourself organized. Figure out basics like: who your website host is, where you purchased your domain. Then look at bigger questions like how consistent is your brand and messaging. How do you track leads, what is your POS system and how well does it integrate with your marketing platforms? Start thinking strategically but understand the basics first.

What’s one local spot you want to visit this season?
I’m excited for the Babcock Theater to be back in action in Downtown Billings!

What hobby or activity are you getting back into this fall?
This time of year does strike inspiration in me so I might pick up working on my fiction novel again if I find the time.

What’s something you’ve learned this year that you’re bringing into Q4?
I’ve learned how to step outside of my comfort zone and apply what I’ve learned directly to my work. I’m bringing that confidence into Q4 by taking more initiative, trying new things, and continuing to push myself to grow.

What’s one piece of advice you’d bring to the table for a small-business owner before the end of the year?
Don’t try to do everything yourself. Identify the tasks that take you away from the parts of your business you’re best at, and don’t be afraid to delegate or outsource when it makes sense.

What’s one local spot you want to visit this season?
I always love visiting The Maize at Grandpa’s Farm. It’s one of my favorite fall traditions!

What hobby or activity are you getting back to this fall?
I love getting back into line and swing dancing in the fall!

We hope you are doing the same.
