Billings TrailNet – Ales for Trails, An Event Bigger Than Beer
October 1st, 2026 | By Kelsey BarthHaving recently moved to Montana my husband and I have been constantly on the lookout for events and ways to become involved around the Billings community. When I started a Kinetic Greenhouse and learned that we got to support Billings TrailNet as a marketing partner, I was thrilled.
Getting to attend the Annual Ales for Trails event was so much more meaningful than a work obligation or even a fun evening out. It was the perfect introduction to the kind of community that makes the spirit of Billings so special.
From the moment we arrived at the unique ZooMontana location the energy was hard to miss. Many “It’s so good to see you!” and “Hey! How have you been?” were heard, while breweries poured delicious samples and food trucks served up all the favorites. To top it all off, local favorite, Repeat Offenders offered up live music to keep the evening lively.
What makes an evening even more special than friendship and community, is an amazing purpose behind it all.
Proceeds from Ales for Trails directly support Billings TrailNet whose mission is to improve the multi-use trail system that makes Billings such a livable, special and connected community.
It wasn’t just the attendees that showed their support either, local businesses showed up big to show their support. Breweries, vendors, musicians, volunteers, sponsors and all of the attendees made the evening feel welcoming, energetic and distinctly local.
Working the event beforehand gave me one perspective. Being there in person gave me another. It’s one thing to help promote an event and talk about the impact, it’s another to stand in the middle of it, see people enjoying themselves and watch that message come to life.
All of us at Kinetic are grateful to Billings TrailNet for the work they continue to do for our community and the small part we were able to play in this year’s Ales for Trails.
Till next year, see you on the trails!
