Case Study: Rocky Mountain Women’s Business Center Paid Social Media

July 24th, 2025 | By Meg O'Malley

We love connecting with non-profit organizations and supporting their missions, and when we met Kassi Strong with Rocky Mountain Women’s Business Center, we knew the fit would be perfect. As a certified Women-Owned Small Business, Kinetic has always prided itself on supporting women entrepreneurs wherever possible, and being able to help Rocky Mountain WBC expand their reach across Montana, it seemed like a no-brainer.

With the programming they provide, Rocky Mountain Women’s Business Center is designed to serve women in every corner of Montana as they work to start or grow their businesses and make an impact on their communities.

Though they had previously had experience with Google Ads, which they wanted to continue running, they also wanted to grow their audience and reach women entrepreneurs where they were at, on Facebook and Instagram. As a woman who frequently spends at least an hour a day on Instagram or other social media apps, it made perfect sense to me to engage their target market via these channels.

Opportunity

When Kassi Strong from the Rocky Mountain Women’s Business Center reached out, she had a clear goal: help more women across Montana access their programming. Although based in Missoula and affiliated with the University of Montana, RMWBC serves women entrepreneurs statewide—especially in rural areas where community and resources can be hard to come by.

They had some experience with Google Ads but wanted to connect more meaningfully with their audience on Facebook and Instagram. We knew right away that paid social could help them reach more women right where they were already spending time—on their phones. But don’t just take our word for it, hear from Director of Programming, Kassi Strong.

“Working with the Kinetic Greenhouse team was a great experience! Their team is quick to take action on our requests, thoughtful in their strategy and implementation, and always available to answer questions, review metrics, and help us reach more clients through search and social ads. They are experts at what they do, and they really care about the companies and organizations they work with – that’s the best part!”, said Kassi Strong

What We Did

1. Created Their First Meta Ads Campaign

We launched Rocky Mountain WBC’s first-ever Meta ads campaign, focused on increasing awareness of their events and resources.

2. Promoted Their Events and Programming to a New Audience

We promoted key virtual offerings, like their monthly coffee hours, and used strategic targeting to get in front of women entrepreneurs across Montana.

3. Optimized Ads for Maximum Conversions

As the campaign ran, we fine-tuned the messaging and creative to make the biggest impact.

Results

44 Website Contacts in 2025 – In the first four months of 2025 alone, their ads brought in 44 website contacts—people ready to engage, sign up, or learn more.

Growing Online Event Attendance – Event attendance and social engagement also grew steadily, and the ads delivered over 117,000 impressions, dramatically increasing their visibility.

Insights

Expanding to Meta Found a New Audience – Adding paid social to their outreach toolkit helped RMWBC tap into a brand-new audience and reach rural entrepreneurs who might not have otherwise heard about their programming. With thoughtful targeting and creative strategy, even small budgets can go a long way.

Conclusion

The Rocky Mountain Women’s Business Center had a vision: to empower women across Montana. By leaning into digital ads with a tailored, thoughtful approach, they’re now seeing the results of that vision come to life.
