Case Study: Billings Association of Realtors Website Refresh

Partnering with the Billings Association of Realtors (BAR) was such a rewarding experience. From the start, it was clear how much they value honesty, integrity, professionalism, and community—and we wanted their website to reflect that.

When they approached us for a brand and website refresh, their goal was to create a modern, user-friendly site that would better serve their members, showcase valuable resources, and support community events. They envisioned a clean and simple design that aligned with their core values while improving engagement and accessibility.

Working closely with BAR, we focused on consumer advocacy and making sure the site truly provided value to its members. The result was more than just a website update, it was a full transformation that helped bring their vision to life. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support an organization so dedicated to its community.

Opportunity

As a key organization supporting realtors and affiliates in the Billings area, BAR needed a refreshed brand identity and an improved website that would provide greater accessibility and engagement for both members and consumers. The previous brand elements and website structure were outdated and did not effectively represent BAR’s professionalism and mission.
Our primary goal for this project was to reposition BAR as a trusted, professional, and innovative resource for realtors and the public. Additionally, the website needed an updated realtor and affiliate directory to make it easier for users to find local professionals.

 

What We Did

To assist in rebranding the Billings Association of Realtors, we executed a comprehensive approach that included branding, a website refresh, and the integration of a real estate platform to create a clean, modern, and user-friendly online presence.

  • Primary Logo Design: We developed a modern, professional logo that aligns with BAR’s core values, giving the brand a fresh, recognizable identity.
  • Alternate Logo & Logomark: Designed secondary logo variations and a custom logomark to offer flexibility in different branding applications, ensuring versatility across various mediums.
  • Updated Secondary Logo: Updated the “Quality of Life” logo to match the new Billings Association of Realtors logo for consistency across all branding materials.
  • Comprehensive Brand Style Guide: A thorough style guide was created to outline the proper usage of the logo, color palettes, typography, and other brand elements, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
  • Business Card Design: Crafted a professional business card layout for BAR members, reflecting the new brand identity and offering a polished, cohesive look.
  • Website Refresh: A full website overhaul was executed with two distinct approaches:
    • Member-Focused Area: A streamlined, resource-rich platform that includes member registration, forms, and resources for BAR members to access essential tools.
    • Public-Facing Area: An intuitive, user-friendly section with a one-page overview, including key features like home page stats, a “Find a Realtor” directory, an About Us page, mission and vision statements, and the code of ethics.
  • Seamless Website Linkage: Integrated GrowthZone for Find a Local Realtor & Affiliate Directories directly into the BAR website, allowing users to access the resources they need without any hassle.
  • User Experience Optimization: Focused on creating a clean, simple, and intuitive navigation system to ensure a smooth experience for both members and the public.
  • Event Integration: Improved the event section of the website to better serve BAR members and the community, enhancing its utility for upcoming activities, meetings, and events.

 

Results

Since launching the new brand and website, BAR has experienced several key improvements:

  • Cohesive Branding: The refreshed and polished brand is now seamlessly integrated across all touch points, including letterheads, logos, business cards, and the website, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Improved Accessibility: The integration of GrowthZone has streamlined the Find a Local Realtor and Affiliate Directories, making it easier for users to connect with realtors and affiliates.
  • Clean and Efficient Website: Both the front and back end of the website now feature a cleaner, more organized design, enhancing user experience and site management.
